Released on September 4, 2023, the LEGO Ideas 21342 The Insect Collection set comprises 1,111 pieces and features three detailed, life-size, posable models of insects in their natural habitats:

• Blue Morpho Butterfly (Morpho peleides) – Showcasing adjustable wings in varying shades of blue, accompanied by a buildable flower and a honeybee. 
• Hercules Beetle (Dynastes hercules) – Featuring a long horn and displayed on a forest floor setting. 
• Chinese Mantis (Tenodera sinensis) – Depicted in a dynamic pose among stalks of grass, alongside a seven-spotted ladybug. 

Each insect model is designed for display and can be showcased individually or together. The set includes separate building instructions for each model and a booklet containing facts about the insects
